Cansancio constante o palidez notable.

In Mexico, childhood cancer is the leading cause of death from disease in children between the ages of 5 and 14.
Each year, at least 5 1,000 new cases are detected of childhood cancer in our country and unfortunately today only half of the girls and boys diagnosed manage to continue their lives, due to late detection
At Casa de la Amistad for Children with Cancer I.A.P., we have set ourselves a goal to help raise the survival rate of children and young people with cancer in Mexico and to help families with scarce resources go through a process as complex as childhood cancer. It is thanks to the support of many people that, in 30 years of hard work, we have built a model of comprehensive support that provides a life opportunity for those who need it most.
The commitment of companies like Wilson Sporting Goods Mexico, from whom Casa de la Amistad has received diverse and very generous donations, it has allowed us to provide cancer treatment to more than 12,000 girls, boys and young people with cancer and count more than one success story. For more than 11 years, his steadfastness and loyalty to the cause are a source of deep appreciation for the great social work that undoubtedly reflects the quality of people who are part of the company.
Today we feel happiness, pride and a great emotion for this space that they give us to spread this social cause with all their readers, to whom we thank let us enter their hearts and welcome this great family with this video about our work.
Thanks
]]>When someone in the family is sick with cancer, everyone's routine and roles at home change or have to be readjusted.
Doctor visits and treatments should be attended promptly. Some patients have to get their treatment away from where they live and this causes the family to be divided: one parent will go with the child to the hospital and the other has to take care of the house and the other children. If the family has only one parent it is very important to seek support from relatives, neighbors or Close and trusted people to care for the children who stay in the family home. The reason for the absence must be explained to the family.
To cope with these changes, Casa De La Amistad supports families with shelter, transportation and food who have to move from their place of origin to Mexico City to continue the treatment of their children.
Remember that all these changes are only one stage and will be temporary. Cheer up!

Red blood cells: These are the cells that carry oxygen throughout the body.
Platelets: These are the cells that have the function that we stop bleeding when we cut ourselves.
Leukocytes: Also called white blood cells, they defend the body from infection.
Why is a bone marrow transplant done?
The bone marrow can be affected by treatments and needs to be replaced.
How is a bone marrow transplant done? The fluid is extracted from the marrow to exchange it for another, either from the same child (autologous) or from another compatible person (allogeneic), who may be a member of the family.
To perform a bone marrow transplant, your child will first receive chemotherapy treatment and sometimes radiation, then the donor's marrow or his own marrow will be injected through the catheter. This procedure will not hurt.
When new marrow enters the body, it moves through the bloodstream and settles in to start making new cells. It is a slow process that requires a lot of care and medical supervision. The child must be protected from infections, so the patient will be in a special room that few people will be able to enter, to keep her free of germs and diseases.
]]>
First, they'll evaluate your child and do blood tests, x-rays, and special imaging studies to make sure everything is in proper condition to schedule and perform surgery in the hospital.
Once your doctor confirms that your child is a candidate for surgery, it's a good idea to make an appointment with your hospital psychologist, who can give them support to understand what surgery is all about and reduce their fear and anxiety. Honesty will help you feel less confused and give you confidence]]>
And also, it's important to pay attention to the following:
By following all necessary hygiene measures it is possible to maintain adequate health and avoid contagion and infections.

Father's Day is just around the corner and it's a very special day when somehow or another we want to thank Dad for everything he does for us.
In Mexico, Father's Day is a tradition that has been celebrated since 1950 and has now become a party to spend a pleasant time with the family. Surely many times we have heard the expression "no one is born knowing how to be a father", that is why we have to value all the dedication and time they invest towards us. On many occasions we thought that we were given little time, but, when we diged in the past we discovered the real reasons: hard work, long days, two jobs in a row and everything our parents have been through to be able to give us the best cart or the most beautiful doll.
At Casa de la Amistad we want you to show Dad your love and gratitude with a Gift with Cause. In addition to being a nice detail, you'll be helping more girls, boys and teens with cancer can continue their treatment.

In this entry, we will explain what is aChemotherapy?
Chemotherapy is a combination of specific drugs that when applied travel through blood throughout the body and serve to treat cancer.
How is chemotherapy applied?
Chemotherapy is applied to the vein, orally (pills) or with injections. Your doctor will choose the one that suits your child best, and take care that everything is as comfortable as possible for him or her. Chemotherapy is applied in the hospital, i.e. it enters and leaves the same day. At other times it is necessary to enter the hospital for one or more days in order for it to be applied, the doctor will define it and notify you in advance.
How does chemotherapy work?
Chemotherapy stops the growth of unhealthy cells. Prevents them from continuing to build up or hurt some part of the body. However, it also stops the production of some good cells, such as hair cells, and that's why certain side effects appear. These cells usually regain normal functioning when chemotherapy is no longer applied.
What side effects does chemotherapy cause?
The most common effects of chemotherapy are:
The effects of chemotherapy are controlled with special medications and some of them can be prevented, are temporary, and have nothing to do with your child's recovery. Not in all people they show up, or every time chemotherapy is applied.
]]>All human beings are afraid of the unknown. Uncertainty causes a lot of stress and even more so when it is a situation that threatens health and even life itself. Feeling sad, angry or afraid is normal. However, you should not allow these feelings to paralyze you, remember that the most important thing is to do everything in your power to get the situation afloat: seek medical attention and start treatment.
It's time to work as a team to help your child get his or her physical health, mood, social and school life affected as little as possible and recover.
To fight cancer, it's important to have open, effective communication and stay informed. Teamwork and the success of treatment will depend in large part on them being able to understand what is happening to them and what they should do, giving themselves the opportunity to ask and express doubts and feelings, respecting and listening to the different points of view.

"The Rodríguezs and the afterlife” it is, without a doubt, the funniest movie Paco has ever made, and we guarantee that the whole family will laugh and enjoy this project.
Reasons to see it there are many: it is original, it is a film with cause and has a large cast of Spanish and Mexican actors, for example, the handsome Aron Piper, The Great Geraldine Chaplin (granddaughter of Charles Chaplin), Rossy de Palma, Santiago Segura and our Mexican cocks Mariana Treviño and Omar Chaparro, who are guarantees when it comes to comedy.
Paco Arango's films are born not only from his mind, but also from his heart.
He is a talented Mexican who as a child was taken to live in Spain, his second homeland, and one day he realized that to fill his existence he had to contribute something tangible to society, so he dedicates his daily life to keep him company and provide distraction to children and adolescents with cancer.
Using magic tricks and his great human quality, Paco manages to conquer the hearts of children and becomes his companion and friend. Not satisfied with this, Paco takes advantage of his artistic side to raise funds and support children with this disease.
Among his works we find that he is founder and president of the Aladina Foundation, which aims to help children and adolescents sick with cancer, in addition, as a good producer, director and screenwriter, has already several successes to his credit and all dedicated to the fight against childhood and youth cancer, for example, has used the profits of his TV series Ala ... Dina!, his first opera “Maktub” and his second film "What really matters” to the noble cause. Paco's favorite phrase is, " you can make movies and do good”"
In 2017, Casa De La Amistad received profit from the box office of the film "What really matters”, a 100% charitable film that paid off in several countries by helping children in vulnerable situations.
The magic jewel you keep inside "The Rodríguezs and the afterlife” (and the main reason why we should all go to the cinema to see it) is that of the common good, since this year part of the profits that are obtained at the box office will be donated to House of Friendship for children with cancer I. A. P., whose mission is to contribute to raising the rate of survival of children, girls and disadvantaged youth with cancer.
